In 2013 Star Sock was one of the founders of the Healthy Seas Initiative and since 2019 she has been responsible for providing one of the three board members of the Healthy Seas Foundation. After 10 years, this direct involvement ends. Star Sock is no longer involved in decision-making but will continue supporting the Healthy Seas Foundation as a partner. That support consists of a percentage of the sales proceeds of socks under the name Seas Socks by Forebel, which partly consist of ECONYL® nylon.
